The uBITX v3, developed by Farhan VU2ESE, serves as an excellent foundation for this upgrade. Built around the Arduino Nano platform, this QRP transceiver covers all HF amateur bands from 80 to 10 meters with approximately 10 watts output power. The modular design and open-source nature make it ideal for customization and enhancement projects like the Nextion display integration.

Nextion displays bring modern touchscreen functionality to amateur radio projects. These intelligent displays feature their own processor and can handle complex graphics, button controls, and data visualization independently. Available in various sizes from 2.4 to 7 inches, they communicate with the host microcontroller through simple serial commands, making integration straightforward even for builders with limited programming experience.
